Matild Palace
The latest luxury hotel in Budapest opened its doors in the proximity of Elizabeth Bridge in the summer of 2021, writes hvg.hu. Matild Palace is the first hotel to represent The Luxury Collection brand of the Marriott Hotel chain in Hungary. The hotel was originally intended to open in 2018, but the date was delayed due to the pandemic.
There are 111 guestrooms and 19 suites.
There is a three-storey Crown Tower Suite on the fifth floor of the palace. With its 48-metre tower, it is completely unique across the country. The tower offers a 360-degree panorama of the Hungarian capital. On top of that, the world-famous chef Wolfgang Puck is in charge of the catering units.
Aria Hotel Budapest
We continue the line-up with an award-winning hotel. At the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards, Aria Hotel Budapest won the award for the best hotel in the world, writes origo.hu.
Located next to St. Stephen’s Basilica, the hotel is a mix of luxury, music and exceptional architecture.
The four wings of the hotel follow four musical trends: classical, opera, jazz and contemporary. The hotel has a restaurant, a wine bar, a spa floor and a High Note SkyBar. By visiting the latter, you can admire the entire city while sipping on a delicious drink.
Four Seasons Gresham Palace
Gresham Palace is an outstanding example of Hungarian Art Nouveau architecture. Built in 1906 and renovated in 2004, the building is located opposite the Chain Bridge.
The 179-room luxury hotel is highly popular among couples.
Rooms offer wonderful views of the Danube. The Buda Castle, the Matthias Church and the St. Stephen’s Basilica are also within walking distance. If you do not feel like leaving the comfort of your hotel, a swimming pool, fitness room, restaurant and bar will take care of your entertainment.
Hotel Palazzo Zichy
Built in 1899, Hotel Palazzo Zichy is located in the heart of Budapest. Due to its central location, the Market Hall, Váci Fashion Street and the Hungarian National Museum are within walking distance. Operating since 2009, the hotel features 80 modernly furnished rooms. The building has preserved the old palace of Count Nándor Zichy and his family in many parts.
